Your child has been given the following medication
- Furosemide Tablets 20mg
This medication will have been explained to you at your childs outpatient appointment or when they were discharged from the ward.
You will need to contact their GP to obtain further supply.
We recommend contacting their GP approximately two weeks before their medication will run out to allow time for a new prescription to be completed and your local pharmacy to order the medication.
This medication can come in many different strengths. To reduce the risk of medication errors it is important that your new packet of tablets is the same strength as above. The packet should say Furosemide 20mg.
Medication errors can occur when switching between different forms, i.e. from tablets to liquid. Therefore, it is important that you continue tablets.
If you are unsure, please ask the GP or pharmacist.
