Your child has been given the following medication:
- Propranolol Oral Solution 50mg / 5mL
This medication will have been explained to you at your childs outpatient appointment or when they were discharged from the ward.
You will need to contact their GP to obtain further supply.
Many pharmacies will not routinely stock this medication.
We recommend contacting their GP approximately two weeks before their medication will run out to allow time for a new prescription to be completed and your local pharmacy to order the medication.
This medication can come in many different strengths. To reduce the risk of medication errors it is important that any new bottles of medication you receive are the same strength as above. Your new bottle should say 50mg/5ml.
