Her clinical leadership includes many years leading Leeds’ haemodialysis service – one of the largest in the UK – with a strong focus on patient empowerment. As Clinical Director for Specialty and Integrated Medicine, she led the development of General Internal Medicine services across the Trust, driving improvements in both delivery and performance.
Elizabeth has a longstanding commitment to teaching and training, holding an Academic Sub Dean role at the University of Leeds alongside senior educational leadership positions across the region. She has also been a national lead in job planning policy and has extensive experience in medical workforce planning.
As Deputy CMO, she built a reputation for careful, compassionate but clear leadership, with a particular emphasis on workforce engagement – creating the conditions for individuals to deliver their very best for patients, with professional fulfilment and wellbeing at the heart of that.
Elizabeth is delighted to take up the role of CMO, and is deeply proud to lead within an organisation she holds in such high regard.
