Laura Stroud is Pro-Vice Chancellor and Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellbeing at the University of Sunderland, where she is a Professor of Public Health and Education Innovation. Her professional interest is in population health and well-being, from community activism in the voluntary sector through to education and research, policy and strategy. She is committed to supporting the development of individuals and teams, bringing expertise in education, leadership, and innovation in health management.
Laura was previously the nominated Non-Executive Director from the University of Leeds, re-joining the Board in March 2024 as an Associate Non-Executive Director after a short break following her appointment at Sunderland in October 2023.
She is Chair of the Quality Assurance Committee and retains her role as Maternity Board Safety Champion.
