Asthma UK & British Lung Foundation Partnership

A range of funding is available including senior fellowships, project grants and innovation grants. Find out more here.

British Heart Foundation

British Heart Foundation offers research funding opportunities throughout the year ranging from project and programme awards, infrastructure, fellowships for medical, nurses and other healthcare professionals, springboard and starter grants, meeting and travel bursaries throughout the year. British Scoliosis Research Foundation

The BSRF launch a range of research funding opportunities on a bi-annual basis. They are Small exploratory grant, New investigation grant and Major research grant, available to appropriately qualified professionals such as scientists, clinicians, and allied health professionals (nurses, psychologists or physiotherapists).

Cystic Fibrosis Trust

Venture and Innovation (VIA) awards are leverage funding, whereby funds are awarded following the success of an application to an external funding body.

Heart Research UK

HRUK have launched the Novel and Emerging Technologies (NET) grants to diagnose, treat and prevent heart disease and related conditions up to £250,000.

Royal College of Surgeons of England

We offer a wide range of research fellowships, awards, grants and lectureships to support all career stages, from medical students through to consultants working in university departments and hospitals throughout the UK and abroad. For more information about schemes, please see here.

Sir Jules Thorn Charitable Trust

The Trust offers one grant of up to £1.7 million to support a five-year programme of translational biomedical research. UK medical schools and NHS organisations are able to submit one application annually,

Tuberous Sclerosis Association

This charity offers funding for PhD studentships, Fellowships and Project grants with two rounds per year, see here.

 William Harvey Research Foundation

WHRF will fund Innovation Award Research Projects, PhD Studentships and research fellowships as well as cutting edge-equipment to facilitate a research project, see here.
