The video below shows you how to fit your walker boot:
Applying your Walker Boot
Start by undoing all the velcro straps.
Once you have all the velcro straps undone, open the boot liner.
You do not need to remove the liner from the boot.
Simply place your foot into the liner.
Next, close the boot liner.
Start from your toes and work your way to the top of the boot.
Before fastening the straps, ensure your heel is in the very back of the boot.
This is extremely important.
Next, fasten the bottom velcro strap.
Working your way upwards to the top velcro strap.
Make sure you pull the straps nice and tight so your foot doesn’t slide around in the boot.
If you experience any movement when you walk, we recommend refastening the velcro straps.
For a snug fit or to relieve pressure points, you can place the foam pads between the liner of the boot and your ankle.
Finally, move around to check that the boot is comfortable.
If you feel any further points of discomfort, you can use the remaining foam pads to alleviate the pressure.
Please note this walking boot is universal, meaning it can be worn on your right or left foot.
If you’ve been provided with a shoe, these are much easier to fit and the same principles apply.
