Directions from Gledhow Wing entrance

  • Enter through the main doors of Gledhow Wing.
  • Go straight ahead until you reach the elevator.
  • Head up to floor 4.
  • Upon exiting the elevator turn left, then enter the first double doors on your immediate left signposted “St James’s Laser Vision”.

Travelling by car

Travelling from the North via A1 and from A64 York

  • If travelling south on the A1, exit at junction 44 to join the A64 to Leeds.
  • At the Seacroft Roundabout, join the outer ring road A6120 at the 3rd exit following signs for the airport.
  • At the next roundabout take the first exit (left) on to the A58 signposted city centre and St James Hospital.
  • At the junction with Roundhay Road in Harehills, carry straight on then turn left on to Harehills Road.
  • At the next roundabout, take the second exit on to Beckett Street and follow the signs to the Hospital Car Park.

Travelling from Manchester and M62

  • Leave the M62 at Junction 27 to join the M621 to Leeds. Leave the M621 at Junction 3, following signs for A653 Leeds City Centre.
  • At Bewleys Hotel, stay in the left hand lane of the A653 following signs for the airport then get into the right hand lane to stay on the A653 following signs for the A61, A58 and the airport.
  • Turn left on to Crown Point Road after the Tetley’s Brewery, following the signs for the hospital, and stay on this road which will take you to St James Hospital.

Travelling from Harrogate

  • Take the A61 to Leeds and when you get to the outer ring road (A6120), continue into Leeds on the A61.
  • Take the left hand turn sign posted Thackray Medical Museum and join the A58.
  • Turn right on to Bayswater Road and continue to the junction with Harehills Road.
  • Turn right on to Harehills Road.
  • At the next roundabout, take the second exit on to Beckett Street and follow the signs to the Hospital Car Park.

Drop off/parking

If being brought by someone, they will be able to drop you off in front of Gledhow Wing main entrance.

Parking is available at St James’s University Hospital Multi Storey Car Park and a number of other locations nearby.
