Occupational Therapy assessments and treatments focus on an individual patient’s functional abilities (including personal care and domestic skills). This may include provision of equipment, home environmental assessment and risk assessments.

The Occupational Therapy team has a key role in enabling timely and safe discharges and working closely with community agencies to resolve housing requirements, supportive care packages and ongoing rehabilitation.

Our work also includes supporting patients at the end of their lives to be discharged in a smooth and timely manner.
