Additional Information
The antibody screen performed by Glasgow includes the detection of IgG and IgM to anti-GM1, GM2, GD1a, GD1b and GQ1b antibodies. If any of these are positive a more extensive panel of tests is performed with end-point dilution analysis. Associated with IgM paraproteins therefore serum electrophoresis should be performed as well.
