Inorganic arsenic is rapidly eliminated from the blood after exposure. A low blood arsenic concentration cannot exclude clinically significant exposure. All cases of suspected arsenic toxicity should be discussed with the National Poisons Information Service. Collect blood and urine as soon as possible after exposure.
