Multiplex PCR testing on CSF or whole blood (EDTA ONLY) for patients with suspected bacterial meningitis and/or septicaemia. These tests detect Meningococcal (Neisseria meningitidis species and serogroups) and Pneumococcal (Streptococcus pneumoniae species).

Collection Conditions
For same day testing sample must arrive in the laboratory before 10:00am.
Availability
Mon – Sat. Samples for same day testing must arrive before 9:30am.
