About half of patients with Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome (LEMS) have small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and 85% have voltage gated calcium channel antibodies. However, VGCC antibodies can also be found at low levels in some patients with lung cancer without LEMS.
