We work with patients in a variety of settings, from Intensive care units to wards and out-patient clinics and we aim to help patients recover from respiratory illness and manage different long term breathing conditions such as asthma and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) etc.

We also provide early rehabilitation for patients recovering from severe illness or surgery, and help them to achieve as much physical recovery and function as possible.

We work closely with the following departments:

Critical Care or Intensive care is a highly specialised area where patients with severe illness are supported by a team of health professionals including Doctors, Physios, Nurses, Pharmacists, Dietitians etc. Some patients also have planned admissions to intensive care after significant surgery like heart bypass or liver transplants.

Rehabilitation in the intensive care unit should start as soon as a patient is able, and has been shown to help patients have better outcomes. 

We understand that having a loved one in critical care can be very difficult, and we are always happy to discuss the treatment that patients are receiving with appropriate family members. Please let the nurse looking after your relative know if you would like to speak to us.
