The internationally recognised Leeds Cancer Centre is one of the largest providers of cancer care in the UK. Delivering a comprehensive range of modern treatments, we are a world renowned specialist cancer centre for Leeds, Yorkshire and the North of England.
Our services are supported by the highly regarded treatment, research and academic activities of St James's Institute of Oncology.
There are over 200 types of cancer. Our specialist Multi Disciplinary Teams (MDT's) make sure your treatment plan is specific for your cancer type and tailored to your needs.
The Radiotherapy department at the St James's Institute on Oncology is one of the largest in the UK, offering state of the art radiotherapy. 50% of all cancer patients have radiotherapy.
Many people are referred to our services to have investigations for suspected cancer. We have a reputation for high quality diagnostics and treatments. If you are diagnosed with cancer, we have a full range of treatments including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy.
Over 5,000 people have chemotherapy at St. James's Institute of Oncology. The main day case unit is located on level 1 in Bexley Wing.
Leeds Cancer Support complements care provided by your clinical team. Information and support is offered in a welcoming environment for you, your family and friends.
Services can be accessed from the information lounges within Bexley Wing and the Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre and include emotional support, financial support, information and support with hair loss.
