Welcome to the Learning Disability Information Page

To help you find the information you want on these pages, we will tell you to click or tap a link for more information and all of these links will be purple.

The information on these pages offers advice and support if you are a person with a learning disability or a carer or professional supporting someone with a learning disability accessing any of our services.

We know that people with a learning disability are twice as likely to be admitted to hospital than the general population. The Equality Act (2010) requires that we make reasonable adjustments to accommodate the needs of people with a learning disability.

We support our staff to understand what reasonable adjustments are and to have discussions with individuals, their carers and paid carers to identify how they can be appropriately supported whilst accessing any of our services.
