Keeping active at home and preventing falls

A booklet has been developed to support older people to be active and healthy at home.

Being active is good for our physical and mental wellbeing. If you are waiting for treatment, being active is one of the best things you can do to look after your health, as part of a healthy lifestyle. Being active at a level that feels comfortable is unlikely to make your health worse; in fact it can help to manage many health conditions.

View the Active at Home leaflet.

No matter your age or physical condition you are likely to benefit from being more active. There are plenty of activities available across Leeds for older people. If you have a health or mobility problem, the Health Programmes team is the place to start. There are also mainstream activities such as gym, fitness classes and swimming at Active Leeds Leisure Centres.
