The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

Leeds Liver Unit

The Liver Unit is based at St James’s University Hospital and is one of the largest in the UK.

We provide hepatology, hepatobiliary surgery and liver transplantation services to our patients across Yorkshire, the Humber, Lincolnshire and the North West of England. We serve a population of over 10 million for specialised liver services.

As part of the one of the largest teaching hospitals in Europe we have an active undergraduate teaching program, a postgraduate training program and an active clinical trials program.

Leeds is also home to the Children's Liver Unit, based at the Leeds Children's Hospital.
