(Information from www.ctlabs.co.uk) The adrenolytic agent Mitotane (o,p'-DDD) used for the treatment of inoperable adrenocortical carcinoma. Its cytostatic effect appears to depend on the maintenance of adequate plasma levels, and encouraging results have been acheived when drug dosing has been based on pharmacological monitoring. Clinical indication for request: therapeutic drug monitoring.
