Following consultation with the laboratory, and following the measurement of complement components C3/4 and functional assays (AP100, CH100), the measurement of individual complement components may be required.

Additional Information Quantification of components may be appropriate but should be discussed with Clinical Immunology SpRs, Clinical Scientists or Consultant Immunology staff. The referral sites for these complement components differ.
Turn Around Refer to relevant laboratory for up to date turn around times, allowing an additional 10 working days for samples processing, dispatch and reporting and validation of the results (estimated 28days)
Send to Samples should be sent to the department of Clinical Immunology at LGI who will refer to appropriate referral lab (Sheffield PRU)
Collection Con Sample seperated within one hour of collection and frozen as soon as possible. Inform immunology immediately.
