Biography
I completed my nursing PgD in York in 2006 following a degree in Natural Sciences from Durham University and was able to convert this to a Master’s degree in Nursing in 2008. I spent 9 years working on an acute Gastroenterology inpatient ward before moving to the Rheumatology day case unit in 2015. The opportunity to join the Nurse Specialist team arose in 2018 and I was supported in my learning by the experienced team members and some excellent education opportunities. I became a Non-Medical Prescriber in 2020 which has enhanced the care that I am able to offer as well as assisting the homecare medication service that we offer.
