Workforce Race Equality Scheme
NHS England requires all Trust to explore whether or not our workforce is representative of the communities we serve. In order to do this we collect and collate data on the race of our staff. The data is collected as part of the standard recruitment and selection process for all members of staff. The data shows the number of applicants from a particular group and then the percentages of shortlisted and appointed people. Data is also collated from applications for promotions.
The information is submitted annually to NHS England who use this to ensure inclusive recruitment and retention of staff.
