What apprenticeship are you doing/have you done? 

I am doing the level 2 horticulture apprenticeship. 

Why did you choose to do an apprenticeship at Leeds Teaching Hospitals?

First I volunteered here to see if I liked it and really enjoyed it and was really happy when a position became available. 

What are the benefits of doing an apprenticeship and why would you recommend it to others?

I get money now for working while I learn, I have gained more confidence and have made new friends. 

 What difference does this apprenticeship make?

It has made a huge difference to me, I have a chance to succeed in a career in horticulture. From a work point of view, I play a part in helping to keep the grounds looking good which helps the wellbeing of patients, visitors and staff.

Do you have any advice for anyone interested in this apprenticeship?

It is somewhere I feel I can have a good career and others can too as I believe we receive all the support needed.
