Hospitals for the City and Region
Collaboration is one of the core values of the Leeds Way and our partnerships within Leeds and the wider region are a significant strength.
Working with our partners in Leeds we will make a major contribution to the three core city strategies; health and wellbeing, inclusive growth and climate emergency. We are one of the largest employers in the city and make a significant contribution to the local economy. We will build on our existing successes to provide more good jobs for people from priority neighbourhoods. We are striving to increase our environmental sustainability and our ambition is to ensure Hospitals of the Future will ultimately be carbon neutral.
The Leeds Health and Care Academy is bringing together learning and development for the 57000 strong health and care workforce across Leeds. Wider programmes in the Leeds Academic Health Partnership will revolutionise public engagement in, and consent for, research, progressing our ambition to become the most connected, innovation driven, health tech ecosystem globally, and realising the potential of personalised medicine and health.
The West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership (ICS) is at the forefront of system leadership in health and care. Our collaborative five-year plan will see us focus on ten priorities including reducing still birth rates and increasing the early diagnosis of cancer. The West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts will be at the forefront of improving hospital services for people across the region.
