Lift share scheme will help cut travel costs and congestion

On Monday 3rd October we are launching a new lift sharing scheme for staff, which will help reduce the number of single-occupancy cars commuting to our sites and lower carbon emissions across Leeds.
We have been working alongside Mobility Ways to set up a Liftshare App and provide staff with an alternative to public transport for sustainable travel, which is a key element of the Trust's Green Plan.
By using the app, staff can search for other members of staff who live on their route to work to find a potential journey match.
By sharing their regular commute, staff can save money on travel and parking and help save the environment by reducing congestion and harmful carbon emissions across Leeds.
Initially, the app will be available for staff who work at the LGI and St James’s, with the rollout to Chapel Allerton, Seacroft and Wharfedale taking place at a later date.
