Finlay Langlands

Finlay Langlands Fin is a Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner and he has worked at the Trust for two years.

Fin said: “My day to day role at LTHT is working cross site within the busy Emergency Departments assessing, treating and admitting or discharging patients that attend ED.

“My favourite think about the trust is the drive for improvement and use of best evidence practice. There is a drive for research and improvement for health care with patients best interest being at the forefront of this.”

Outside of work Fin is a reservist.

He adds “I have been a reservist for 3.5 years now and have been commissioned to the rank of Captain within the British Army Reserves. My main drive to join the reserves was to take up a new challenge that would be of benefit to my civilian career and be fun.

I would highly recommend the reserves to anyone that is interested in joining. It’s great fun you can put as much or as little time into it as you can spare.

I have travelled to the USA, France and Holland on exercise and there are many great opportunities to travel and take part in interesting activities, sometimes with people from different nations.

I have made loads of good friends, learned lots both about the military, clinically and about myself and what I am capable of.”
