The Apprentice Clinical Support Worker role is a fifteen month apprenticeship within our Clinical Service Units.
The entry requirements for this role are:
- Minimum aged 18 years old, no upper age limit
- No formal qualifications or experience necessary
Individuals completing this apprenticeship will gain:
- Level 2 Apprenticeship certificate in Healthcare Support Worker
- Level 2 Extended Award in Work Skills for Effective Employment
- Level 1 Functional Skills on Literacy and Numeracy
- Cavendish Care Certificate
The Programme consists of:
- Based on a ward
- 3 weeks induction (Monday – Friday full time)
- One study day per month plus 2 additional full weeks study
- Tutor/assessor support
- Tutorials and private study in your own time
- Flexible working working shifts – a minimum of 30 hours per week over 7 days
- 27 days paid annual leave plus bank holiday
