Elderly Remote Advice

With immediate effect, there will be two Geriatricians that will be providing remote advice for any specialities who require specialist elderly medicine input. This advice will be for:

  • Patients aged 80 and above
  • Patients aged 65 and above, who have elderly medicine needs eg: Dementia, Parkinson's Disease, Admitted from a Care Home or have a Clinical Frailty Score of 6 or above. (All Parkinson’s Disease referrals should continue to be made through the current process and not sent to this advice line email)

This remote service will be provided from 9am-5pm Monday-Friday. If you have any requests for advice outside these hours and that cannot wait until the next working day, please call the on-call elderly medicine registrar on bleep  (4709).

All requests for advice should be emailed to the following email address

Depending on the query being raised, clinical advice will be provided via a PPM+ entry or a telephone call back to the referrer with advice.
