Car parking at Leeds General Infirmary
There is a multi-storey car park located on the LGI site, however spaces are limited. The car park is located along Clarendon Way, to the right of the Jubilee Wing. For more information on this location, access our Accessibility guide.
It has 1,300 spaces for patients, visitors and staff and operates a ‘pay and display’ system – please purchase your ticket and display this within your vehicle.
Parking for Blue Badge holders is available.
The car park is open Monday to Sunday 6am to 12 midnight.

Cashless Parking
Please note that, as of Friday 28th March 2025, all Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust car parks will be cash free. Payment will only be accepted on debit card, credit card or the PayByPhone App.
Exemptions for Patients and Visitors
In line with NHS guidelines, we provide free parking to patients and visitors with the greatest need.
Outpatient concessionary parking
This is available to patients who meet the criteria listed below:
- Chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment
- Cystic fibrosis care
- Renal dialysis treatment
- Phototherapy treatment at Chapel Allerton Hospital
- Frequent appointments – at least 3 within a month and for an overall period of at least 3 months
Inpatient concessionary parking
This is available to parents/relatives who meet the criteria listed below:
- Parent / Guardian of child inpatient
- Relative of intensive care inpatient
- Relative of terminally ill inpatient
- Relative support stroke rehabilitation
- Relative of inpatient exceeding 7 days
- Relative of end of life care
Request a permit
If you need to request a parking permit for a visitor or patient, the ward or department will need to complete the online Patient Parking Form.
Disabled car parking
Free car parking is available at all our hospitals for blue permit holders in designated marked spaces. If designated spaces are full, you can park in any of the visitor car parks. In order to provide free access for ambulances, emergency vehicles and hospital delivery vehicles, please do not park on double yellow lines, in ambulance bays or loading/delivery bays.
Alternative Car Parks
Rose Bowl
The Rose Bowl car park is a short walk from the LGI. The car park is split into two sections – there is a car park directly outside the Rose Bowl and there is an underground car park below the Rose Bowl. Both are accessible via Portland Crescent. The car parks are open Mon to Sat 6am to 11pm and the postcode is LS1 3HB.
Woodhouse Lane
The Woodhouse Lane car park is a 5 minute walk from the LGI and has 1250 spaces. It is open 24 hours and the postcode is LS2 3AX. Further details can be found on the Leeds City Council website.
