Car parking at St James’s Hospital
The main car park for patients and visitors is the St James’s Hospital multi-storey on Alma Street, next to the Leeds Cancer Centre building (Bexley Wing).
It is clearly signposted as you enter the hospital site from Beckett Street. It is open from 6am to midnight and payment is on exit.

Exemptions
We try to be as fair as possible to everyone and have a number of groups who are exempt from paying car parking charges. These include people receiving cancer treatment and people with a family member who is critically ill.
Car parking concessions are applied to those staying overnight with children after 5 days of overnight stay in hospital. The ward staff will authorise this concession upon request. In addition, drivers with disabled parking badges are exempt from paying charges. Our volunteers can be reimbursed and should speak to their staff champion or the volunteering team.
Disabled car parking
Free car parking is available at all our hospitals for blue permit holders in designated marked spaces. If designated spaces are full, you can park in any of the visitor car parks. In order to provide free access for ambulances, emergency vehicles and hospital delivery vehicles, please do not park on double yellow lines, in ambulance bays or loading/delivery bays.
Blue badge parking – St James’s
Patients and visitors can now access the blue badge parking in the multi-storey car park by completing a short form – complete the St James’s Blue Badge Form. You will need to provide your name, vehicle registration and an image of your blue badge permit. By completing this form you are giving explicit consent for your information to be used for the purposes of registering your vehicle on the ANPR system. Your details will be deleted from the system upon expiry of your blue badge.
