If you are interested in supporting us to improve services and would like to participate in feedback on current developments in our hospitals please contact us or use the links below.
Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust has a legal duty to involve patients, carers and members of the public in:
- The decisions it makes.
- How services are designed and delivered.
However, we do this because it’s the right thing to do and without your experience we cannot create the best care and treatment possible. Read our strategy or ‘plan’ for making this happen.
Involvement Examples
Safeguarding Voices (young people)
The team worked with the children’s safeguarding team to better understand the experience of young people where safeguarding concerns were raised. The young people shared their experience through interview helping the Trust to:
- Understand their experience of support from Trust staff and the Safeguarding team.
- Share their ideas about what would have improved their experience and the experience of other young people in the future.
Patient Reference Group
This group meets four to six times a year and helps the Trust make decisions about how things work across our hospitals. This might include what the priorities for the Trust are or creating a strategy to support people with mental health difficulties.
Listening Events
You might see or be approached by members of the team to discuss the service you are using or bigger issues that affect the whole Trust. Please talk to us if you feel comfortable to do so your experience and thoughts really helps.
Want to get involved ?
The team uses a system called Tractivity. This is a database of patients and members of the public who kindly give their time, experience and thoughts around how Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust can improve the services it delivers. We use Tractivity to send invites for events or send electronic surveys. If you would like to join this database, please email us. If you decide that you do not want to be on the database anymore you can either remove yourself or email the team using the address below.
