We have a number of training courses that Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT) and University of Leeds (UoL) staff can attend for free.
Some of the courses currently available are:
Clinical Skills Refresher Training
Refresher training is intended for any practitioner who will soon use a clinical skill and:
- Previously attended the clinical skill session at LTHT and has been signed off as competent to practice but has not practiced a skill for 6-12 months or more.
- Previously attended the clinical skill session at a hospital trust other than LTHT and has been signed off as competent to practice.
Clinical Skills Training
Clinical Skills Training is offered in the following areas:
- Venepuncture
- Cannulation
- 12 Lead electrocardiogram (ECG) recording
- Clinical observations utilising the ABCDE assessment process and SBAR handover approach- Launch date TBC
