Hello, this is the thickening video for IY level one made with Carabel. The recipe for this is 90 mL of fluid per one scoop of thickener. First, measure your fluid accurately. Next, take one level scoop of thickener.
You must use the scoop that is in the box. Add it to your fluid and mix it well for 30 to 60 seconds, as per the instructions on the back of the box. You may mix it with a fork, but shaking is better. After 30 to 60 seconds, leave your drink to thicken for 3 to 4 minutes, as per the instructions on the box.
After 3 to 4 minutes, you will carry out a flow test to ensure that the drink accurately meets the criteria for IY level one. The temperature and type of fluid will affect how it thickens, so it is important to carry out this flow test. Next, thank you.

IDDSI Flow Test Instructions
1. Get a stopwatch and two 10-milliliter slip-tip syringes.
2. Remove the plunger from one syringe and discard it.
3. Cover the nozzle of the syringe with your finger to create a seal.
4. Fill the syringe up to the 10-milliliter line with fluid (it’s recommended to use the second syringe for this step).
5. Start the stopwatch as you remove your finger from the nozzle.
6. After 10 seconds, replace your finger over the nozzle to stop the fluid from flowing.
