Faecal Immunochemical Testing (FIT)

FIT quantifies faeces haemoglobin by immunoassay. It is more sensitive and specific than guaiac FOB tests.

Collection Con FIT sample packs are distributed by Clinical Immunology. Packs include a FIT sampling device, patient instruction leaflet and envelope. The faecal sample is collected by the patient using the picker and returned in the envelope directly to the Immunology
