Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is planning a new state-of-the-art hospital at the historic Leeds General Infirmary site in the city.
The Trust’s plans will include a new home for Leeds Children’s Hospital, a new adults’ hospital and one of the largest, single site maternity centres in the UK.
Background
The Trust was first announced as a funded hospital project in September 2019 and secured outline planning consent in June 2020. The Trust is now commencing public engagement to support its application for the detailed planning consent ahead of the next design stage.
Public engagement
Patients, families and local communities are encouraged to take part in the public engagement activity for the new hospital by attending an event or going online to find out more about how they can support the plans.
