Hand surgery and rehabilitation

Adult Hand Surgery and Rehabilitation services is based at the Leeds General Infirmary The Hand Unit ward L46 and is one of the largest and most highly respected units in the UK.

Our Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery team care for adults and children with many different conditions.

Podiatry Department

Podiatry offers a wide range of lower limb, foot and ankle assessment, diagnosis, treatment and holistic health.

Speech and Language Therapy

We offer a wide range of specialist in-patient and outpatient services, from acute care to long term rehabilitation. These services are across Leeds General Infirmary, St James’ University Hospital and Chapel Allerton Hospital.

Paediatric Dentistry

The Paediatric Dentistry department see and treat children and young people, up to 15 years of age, whose dental condition can’t be managed at the family or community dentist.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy aims to improve your ability to do everyday tasks if you’re having difficulties.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy takes a holistic approach that involves the patient directly in their own care. To get the most from your treatment, you will be asked to do exercises and follow advice given by your Physiotherapist.

Radiology

Radiology is a type of medicine specialising in the use of imaging to diagnose and treat diseases seen within the body.

Specialist Rehabilitation

Based at Seacroft Hospital, Specialist Rehabilitation Services comprises the Regional Prosthetics Service, the Leeds Orthotics Service and the Leeds Wheelchair and Special Seating Service.

Rheumatology

The Rheumatology service in Leeds has an international reputation for the management and investigation of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases.

Orthopaedic Trauma

Trauma and Orthopaedics is a large surgical speciality that covers a wide variety of services. They include all possible pathologies of the musculoskeletal system (bones, ligaments, muscles).
