If you have been referred to an oncologist (a doctor that treats cancer) or a haematologist (a doctor that specialises in blood cancers, as well as other blood diseases), then you may have lots of questions to ask about what will happen to you.
Information about specific anti-cancer drugs, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other types of treatments can be found at the Macmillan website. Depending on your cancer diagnosis, your doctor will explain and discuss the specific treatment with you.

Support during treatment
People find many ways of dealing with their cancer diagnosis and the effect of treatment on them and their families. We can also help. We have a dedicated team called Leeds Cancer Support who have lots of information and advice that you may find helpful. Drop-in to the support and information lounge on level 1 of St James’s Bexley Wing, phone 0113 206 8816.
There is also Maggie’s Centre, who have a dedicated team of people to offer help and support. Maggie’s is opposite the Bexley Wing, next to the multi storey car park.
