Using art and journaling activities, these midwife-led sessions offer an opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings about pregnancy and birth, build confidence, and prepare for parenthood in a supportive environment. No artistic experience is needed, and all materials are provided.
We currently offer two Maternal Journal groups in Leeds.
Our free Maternal Journal classes take place every Friday at Chapeltown Children’s Centre. Come along to get creative, meet other parents, and learn more about pregnancy, birth and caring for your baby.
We welcome anyone who is pregnant or who has a baby up to 6 months old. Babies are welcome to attend with you.
Please speak to your midwife for more information or email Nada using the address above to register.
Thank you to Leeds Hospitals Charity for generously funding this project.
Neurodivergent Maternal Journal class
Our first session is on Friday 18th September 2026.
Our Neurodivergent Maternal Journal class offers a welcoming, creative space for neurodivergent people who are pregnant to explore pregnancy, birth and early parenthood through art and journaling.
These midwife-led sessions provide an opportunity to explore your birth plan, emotions and feelings about pregnancy and birth, connect with like-minded people, and prepare for birth in a way that works for you. No artistic experience is needed.
The sessions are designed to provide a supportive environment for people who may benefit from a neurodivergent-friendly group setting. Everyone is welcome – you don’t need a formal diagnosis to join the class.
To book your place, please email the address above or speak to your midwife for more information.
