The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

Children's Congenital Heart Unit

The Congenital Heart Unit at Leeds Children's Hospital provides services for all patients and their families with congenital heart disease from birth to adulthood who live in Yorkshire, Humber and North Trent.

What we do

The Congenital Heart Unit identifies, diagnoses and treats congenital heart disease, arrhythmias and acquired heart disease. Treatment can be medical, surgical or both. We also screen large numbers of children to make sure they do not have cardiac problems. The range and interest of the service extends from pre-natal diagnosis to the treatment of congenital heart disease in adults. For further information please see our 'What we do' pages.
