Pituitary hormone which stimulates cortisol production from the adrenal cortex. This is a second-line test for Cushing's investigation. Please consult the Endocrinology section before requesting this test.

Collection Con Samples must be brought to the laboratory immediately and received for processing within 20 min of collection. Instructions for lab staff: centrifuge immediately, seperate and freeze plasma. Minimum volume: 500 uL plasma. If sending from an external Trust, please send samples on dry ice.
