Amitriptyline / nortriptyline

Nortriptyline is the N-methylated metabolite of amitriptyline. Both are tricyclic antidepressants with mild tranquilising action. They inhibit catecholamine reuptake. Clinical indication for requesting: investigation of toxicity.
