CA 125

A tumour marker for ovarian cancer. CA125 is elevated in patients with ascites, pleural effusions of any cause, and heart failure. CA125 varies throughout the menstrual cycle.

Additional Information | Non specific marker for Ca ovary - CA125 is also elevated in patients with heart failure and ascites or pleural effusions of any cause. However, very high concentrations in cases of undiagnosed pelvic/abdominal mass may be suggestive of Ca ovary. |
