| Additional Information | If any of the minimum re-test intervals is exceeded then the request is deemed inappropriate and the requested test(s) will not be performed. An explanatory comment will be included on the report stating "inappropriate request. Minimum re-test intervals on Pathology Website", together with information about the appropriate re-test interval. The following acceptable retest intervals will be used: B12 >56 days, Folate >21days, Ferritin >20 days. In cases where the requester feels that there is a genuine clinical need for a result despite the request being rejected by the system, please contact the duty officer who is able to override request intervention and allow the tests to be processed. |
