Free T3 (fT3)
fT3 is only routinely available for study samples, or if requested by the Duty Biochemist (e.g. concerns about assay interference). The sample will be sent to Pinderfields Hospital Biochemistry lab for analysis of fT3. TSH and fT4 are used as front-line tests. For routine T3 analysis, request total T3 (TT3).
