A panel of gut hormones, including gastrin, glucagon, pancreatic polypeptide (PP), somatostatin, vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP). Indication for request: investigation of endocrine causes for diarrhoea and other GI problems.

Collection Con Fasting sample (>10h) and full EDTA tube required. Analytes are very unstable so sample must be brought to lab in person within 15 min of sample collection. Does not need to be brought on ice. Instructions to lab: Centrifuge, separate plasma and freeze immediately.
