Additional Information | Not recommended as a screening test for Ceoliac disease. Please refer to Coelac screen/Anti-tTG Ab entry. Tissue transglutaminase and anti-endomysial antibodies are now preferred tests over gliadin antibodies in the diagnosis of gluten sensitive enteropathy due to their higher sensitivity and specificity. The test results must be used in conjunction with all relevant clinical symptoms and results and are not diagnostic when used in isolation. |
