Mycoplasma pneumoniae PCR

Detection of Mycoplasma pnuemoniae by PCR. Investigated as a common cause of tracheobronchitis and community acquired pneumonia. PCR detection allows for earlier treatment as serological identification may only be achieved some time after initial infection.
