Paediatric and adult services are located at different sites within Leeds Teaching Hospitals but many of the haemophilia team work with both groups and thus we are one Comprehensive Care Centre.
We are able to provide diagnostic services; 24 hour access for the assessment and treatment of bleeds; genetic counselling; specialised podiatry and physiotherapy services; home treatment training programmes; home delivery services; and counselling and support for patients and their families.
We work closely with a number of other specialities in our hospital to provide a comprehensive care package for our patients. These include:
- Orthopaedics
- Paediatric Rheumatology
- Dental Services
- Genetics
- Liver Specialists
- Infectious Diseases
- Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Podiatry
- Psychology
- General/Specialist Surgery
- Paediatric Social Worker
We work in a network with the Bradford and York Haemophilia Centres. The network is called the North West Yorkshire Haemophilia Network.
