Children and young adults (up to 18 years of age)
Inpatient haemophilia services for children and young adults are based at Leeds General Infirmary.
The inpatient facilities are age-based with one ward designated for children under the age of 13 (Ward L31) and another ward designated for teenagers and young adults (Ward L33). These are fully equipped inpatient facilities. There are teaching assistants who provide ongoing education for children whilst an inpatient. The teenage facilities include entertainment and distraction areas relevant to this age group.

Inpatient haemophilia services for adults are based at St James’s Hospital.
The adult haemophilia inpatient facilities are on the haematology wards J88 and J89, and the adolescent Unit Ward J94.
