What is Leeds MNVP?
Leeds Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP), is an independent partnership, working in collaboration with service users, Leeds Teaching Hospitals, third sector organisations and statutory services, to identify areas of improvement within Leeds services.
The MNVP listen to the voices of all women, birthing people and birth partners who have used Leeds services over the last two years, or are currently using them, and escalate key themes, concerns, areas for improvement and areas of strength back into Leeds Maternity and Neonatal teams.
Share your experience
No piece of feedback is too big or too small. You might want to share how you felt about your care and treatment, a positive experience you had, or an experience that you felt was negative or concerning. Everything you have to say will be taken seriously, and play an important part in shaping services for the better.
Ways to share your feedback
We know that sharing feedback can sometimes feel difficult. That’s why there are a number of ways you can choose to share, depending on what feels most comfortable for you. You can:
- Share thoughts over email
- Chat on the phone
- Complete an anonymous survey
- Arrange a meeting in person
- Join an MNVP focus group, where you can receive peer support and strength whilst sharing
You will never be pushed into sharing details you don’t want to, and the MNVP will always tell you how they are going to be sharing your feedback, to ensure that feels comfortable for you. You can choose if you’d rather remain anonymous, or if you’re happy to share personal details.
The MNVP sometimes hear people they speak to shrugging off, or minimising challenges they experienced throughout their pregnancy and birth. Remember – every little thing you have to reflect on – both about care that was good, and anything that wasn’t right, helps move the service forward.

Become a Parent Rep
The MNVP works closely with Parent Representatives who get involved with improvement projects. Parent Representatives may:
- Take part in hospital walkarounds to review accessibility and patient experience
- Attend meetings with maternity and neonatal staff
- Help develop information and resources for families
- Share their views on proposed service improvements
There is no formal commitment or minimum time required – you can dip in and out of what you’d like.
