Welcome to Leeds Children's Hospital
Leeds Children's Hospital provides one of the most comprehensive range of specialist children's hospital services in the country and is a regional centre looking after youngsters from birth to the age of 16 living right across Yorkshire and beyond.
Our highly experienced staff are dedicated to achieving the very best outcomes for acutely ill children and those with long term conditions, and care for young people with cancer and needing liver, kidney and bone marrow transplants. We have invested millions of pounds in improving our wards and departments, and have excellent facilities to support patients who need to stay on site with a dedicated facility next to the hospital.
What we do
Leeds Children's Hospital brings together expertise and services to treat sick children from all around the region.
The specialties we offer include children's medicine and surgery, gastroenterology, cystic fibrosis, respiratory medicine, hepatobiliary services, renal medicine, neurosciences, paediatric intensive care (PICU), neonatal services, oncology and haematology, endocrinology, rheumatology, cardiac services, allergy, immunology and infectious diseases and diabetes.
We also provide , physiotherapy. occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, radiology, pharmacy, dietetics, the pain team and access the community nursing service.
We have excellent facilities for parents and families who need to stay on site with our fantastic Eckersley House facility next to the Clarendon Wing, run in conjunction with the Sick Children's Trust. We also work closely with the Teenage Cancer Trust who generously support our specialist teenage cancer ward on site.
Official Opening of The Children's Hospital
Her Royal Highness Sophie Countess of Wessex will be officially opening Leeds Children's Hospital on the morning of Wednesday 28th March. This will occur at the entrance to The Children's Hospital in Clarendon Wing and will include an opening as well as a tour of parts of the Children's Hospital.

Campaign to keep children's heart surgery in Leeds
Leeds Children's Hospital is currently one of 10 specialist centres across England which carries out children’s heart surgery, with over 250 children each year benefiting from life-saving surgery in Leeds. The Safe and Sustainable review commissioned by the NHS wants to concentrate expertise by reducing the number of centres nationally to 6 or 7.

- Deli-Marche - located in Clarendon Wing offering tasty food and drinks.
- Costa Coffee - located in Jubilee Wing offering hot and cold drinks and snacks.
- Amigo Shop - located in Jubilee Wing and Brotherton Wing, providing newspapers, magazines, snacks and drinks, along with a number of essentials for any hospital visit or stay.
